Farah Ghafoor (FAR-uh Ghuh-FOOR) is an award-winning Pakistani-Canadian poet and writer based in Toronto.
Farah is passionate about challenging our tendency towards climate anxiety and doomism, and loves to dig into the historical factors leading up to our present crisis. Her debut collection of poetry exploring the idea of value at the intersection of capitalism, colonialism, and climate change, Shadow Price, is forthcoming from House of Anansi Press in the spring of 2025. Born in New York, she was raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Windsor, Ontario, and earned her Bachelor of Management and Accounting from the University of Toronto. |
