Her poems have been commissioned for art exhibitions such as Who's Afraid of Labour Justice? (2025) by the Mayworks Festival of Working People and the Arts, and Structural Integrity (2025) by Steelcase Art Projects, the latter of which she spearheaded. Featured widely in anthologies, post-secondary course curriculums, literary and general interest magazines, her interests lie in labour, power, complicity, and the relationships we have with the living and non-living world around us.
Born to Pakistani immigrants in New York State, she was raised in New Brunswick and southern Ontario, and earned her Bachelor of Management and Accounting from the University of Toronto. When she's not reading, writing, or researching, she enjoys decorating cakes, practicing maui thai, and birdwatching. |
